Narasimhamu Koochi (1866-1940)

Narasimhamu koochi was born in 1866. He was a pundit in Telugu and Sanskrit languages. After finishing his BA, he taught in English schools in Elamanchili, Narasapuramu, Nujividu, Pithapuramu cities. Later he worked for the king of Pithapuramu in the office of aamdhra nighamtu.

He was a pious person and devotee of Lord Rama. He wrote religious books like raamakrishna paramahamsa charitra and gauramga charitra. He introduced Vivekananda to Telugu people by writing praakpaschimasaramu. He authored several novels and dramas, and translated Shakespeare's dramas into Telugu. He also wrote balavignana taramgini for children.
