Jagannadhasastri Duvvuri (1891-1964)Jagannadhasastri Duvvuri was born at Aamdramgi near Kakinada in Andhra on August 25, 1891 to Seshamma and Venkayya. He studied in Doddampeta, Modekurru, Aitampudi, and Kakinada, as a student of eminent teachers like Subbarayasastri Kompella (Sanskrit), Venkatacharyulu Khamdavalli (Veena), Govimdarajulu Kamchi (dance), Subrahmanyam Thiruvayyuru (music), Subrahmanyasomayajulu Akella (acting), and Brahmayyasastri Kasibatta (literature). In addition, he attended schools in Doddampeta to finish his matriculation. He taught music, dance and literature at various schools. He participated in the Library Movement and the National Congress meetings. He worked for various journals such as Aryaprabha and Gandharva.
His research and other publications include pusapati vamsaanucharitham, vijayanagara gajapathi mamdali, kshatriya kulagotra prakashika, vashishta chappanna kshatriyulu, veshya prabodhamu, aamdramgi veshya, nouka charitramu, thyagaraja harikadha, lakshana chamdrika, gaatrasarvasvamu, aamdhravaiyanikamu, sreeraamuni seelam, bhaavakoumudi, aaruvelavaaru - namdavareekulu, sivasumdaravijayamu, brahmavilasamu, svararaga sudhaakaramu, raamatheertha-durgaamba damdakamu, telugu paaraasareeyahora, kshatriyaanvaya mamjusha, aamdhrakshatriya saaraswata sarvasvamu, bharatanaatyamu, maadhavavarma mailamabheemana, etc.
