Sri Venkateswara University
Sri Venkateswara University (SVU) was established in 1954 in Tirupati by
Andhra State that formed from the British Madras State. This university
is being supported in many ways from the inception by Temple of Lord
Venkateswara at Tirumala Tirupati. The first vice Chancellor was
Dr. S. Govindarajulu Naidu. SVU has 6 post graduate centers and 67
affiliated colleges. It has jurisdiction over Rayalaseema.
