Nagarjuna University
Nagarjuna University was established as a post graduate center of Andhara
University in 1967 in Guntur and was upgraded to an independent University
in 1976. Prof. V. Balayya was the first Vice Chancellor of this University.
This University has jurisdiction over 126 affiliated colleges in the districts
of Guntur, Krishna and Prakasam. Approximately 75,000 students are
enrolled in the University.
